I left you with a cliff hanger

"What if I filmed it with one of those play kitchens? Like the ones kids have?" I asked. "Uhhhhhh maybe just do it in a real kitchen. It will be easier. And maybe less…weird." My friend said. He's not wrong. My friend and I were talking about my project. The one I (annoyingly) mentioned as a cliff hanger last email. I'm going to make mini web series. For my nutrition blog. Bit of Ame History Nutrition is so unrelated to anything I've done in public. Back in 2020, I decided to switch careers....

So… Did you do it? The visuals for your video I mean? No? Well… 🎤SHOW ME THE MEANING OF BEING LONELY 🎵 (I’ve been itching to slip Backstreet Boys into here). But really… How would you show me the meaning of being lonely? It’s hard to think of visuals unless you’re used to it. It’s like teaching someone what to imagine– which is dang near impossible. The best we can do is give someone ideas or inspiration. But if the Backstreet Boys can show you the meaning of being lonely…. (So lonely!) Then...

This child’s face… Followed by this sketchy man handing out pills… Did NOT prepare me for this to be a roller rink ad. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I thought this video was some lame PSA from the “glory days” of D.A.R.E.--that say "no to drugs!" program from my childhood. But, no. To them, I quote the kid in the video...

People love to bang on about “story this, story that”. I don’t know about you, but I can’t open Twitter or LinkedIn without seeing at least one post about how story is the root of everything. THE POWER I used to think these posts were so smart. I’d see them and my inner voice would go, Yeah! It’s all about the story! Get on that post! I’d hit “like” and praise the poster for this golden insight! But now… I hate these posts. I sigh and scroll by because the truth is… half of these people don’t...

Youtube used to be funny cat videos, comedy skits and music videos. Today, it’s where we learn. I can’t think of something that isn’t on Youtube these days. B2B, B2C, creators…you name it. Everyone is on Youtube, which is why there are millions of videos uploaded. Every day. The prime time to get on Youtube was probably 5 years ago. People could put out videos with mediocre audio-visual quality. Maybe they had an outline to talk from or they winged it. B-roll…more like no-roll (bad joke, I...
